Inspired by the Peninsula’s waterfront setting and Studio Ashby’s No.3 interiors, the collection draws on natural materials, earthy tones and the wildlife and botanicals of the river.
Studio Ashby’s approach to interiors celebrates the eclectic – where the beauty of discovered and unusual objects combine with materials and colours that are natural and warm in tone and texture.
Her design ethos provides the perfect foundation for The Peninsula Collection. A partnership between Greenwich Peninsula, Studio Ashby and five contemporary British artisans the collection is a curated range of hand-crafted pieces each inspired by an aspect of life on the Peninsula.
A hand joined English oak dining table and bench comes from East Yorkshire’s Galvin Brothers; embroidered wildlife inspired by life on the Thames is brought to life in a series of decorative cushions from Brighton’s Emily Rose Potter; simple ceramic homewares are carefully crafted by Sheffield-based studio Pottery West, whilst Naomi Paul creates a very special suite of handwoven paper lighting. Finally, a series of photographic landscapes by Thea Lovstad, hero the natural elements, the foliage and reflections at the water’s edge.
